The accommodation categories do real work

The official room menu includes Deluxe Garden, New Deluxe Garden, Grand Garden View, Deluxe SeaView, Villa Family Bungalow, Honeymoon Jacuzzi and Ocean Pool Villa. Grand Garden View is described around a garden outlook and additional space, while Ocean Pool Villa explicitly includes its own pool. The common identity of the resort does not give the garden category that pool or that outlook.

Agoda’s current catalogue likewise distinguishes garden, sea-view, family and pool-villa labels. That supports a useful way to compare the property: choose first whether the private outdoor space or simply a base near the beach is the reason for paying for Mountain Resort. Do not make that decision by assuming that every room represented in a gallery belongs to the rate being offered.

A hillside stay is not a room on Walking Street

The resort publishes a complimentary shuttle to Walking Street. That service makes a quieter northern setting easier to combine with meals and shops elsewhere, while preserving a difference between staying above the beach and staying at the island’s busy central hub. The page does not provide a timetable that this review can promise for every evening.

A guest review dated March 2026 described using the evening shuttle and appreciated the beach reached by stairs. The same guest liked their spacious room but found the separation of shower and toilet less convenient than expected. It is a helpful reminder that a highly enjoyable location can coexist with a room-layout preference that another traveller would judge differently.

Beach scenery does not settle the room standard

A February 2026 Tripadvisor account praised the beach and restaurant outlook, while making clear that the shower was not especially luxurious. That is an individual traveller’s trade-off, not a reason to assume identical bathroom finishes across the resort’s many accommodation types. The review’s enthusiasm was led by where the room was, rather than by a claim that every fitting was exceptional.

The official Ocean Pool Villa page lists a king bed, indoor seating, sunbed and the private pool. For a couple planning substantial time around the villa, those features can change how the resort is used. A garden room may make more sense for visitors spending most of the day elsewhere. A private-pool category should be chosen because its space matters, not because it is the only room photographed prominently.

Meals, returns and the actual route to your room

Mountain Resort’s own facilities menu separates the restaurant, beach bar and shuttle service. That combination gives a stay more structure than a simple isolated beach hut, yet it does not erase the slope or the route back from the beach. If steps are difficult, ask about the actual accommodation location and the route between it, breakfast and the sand.

The resort is a candidate for a Lipe stay where the northern beach setting is the priority and occasional trips to Walking Street are enough. It is a less obvious choice for somebody wanting to step from their bedroom into a large choice of shops every evening. The shuttle helps with the latter; it does not change the hotel’s address.

A useful comparison therefore keeps three decisions separate: the room category, the beach access and how you expect to spend evenings. A garden-view room is not a failed ocean villa when chosen knowingly, and a sea-facing villa is not automatically the most convenient room for limited mobility. Mountain Resort’s breadth is an advantage only when the category and hillside position match the holiday you actually intend to have.
