Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel is a central-island option whose pool and bay setting are more consistent selling points than a claim of uniformly new bedrooms. The official hotel lists double, twin and triple accommodation, restaurants and a waterfront bar. Recent guests often discuss the convenient arrival and pool together with more mixed impressions of the rooms.

The pool is a meaningful part of the choice

The hotel’s official information identifies a swimming pool and children’s pool, and describes dining beside the water and near the pool. These shared areas are relevant if the plan is to spend time at the hotel between village outings. They do not imply that each bedroom has the same view or that every terrace opens straight onto the sand.

A July 2026 Trip.com family guest in a Superior Triple Room liked the easy arrival after the ferry, beach access and pool loungers. They called the room dated but clean. That is a useful combination of observations: a family can enjoy the location and outdoor facilities while recognising that the bedroom may not feel like a recently built resort room.

Room names need more context than a photograph

The official room menu offers Superior double, twin and triple variants. A triple configuration matters to a family in a way that a general hotel star label does not. The booking listing also describes several buildings, which is another reason not to assume that a room facing one direction represents the outlook and route of every available category.

A different family guest, staying in a Superior Triple Room in May 2026, praised their view and suggested a higher floor and pool-facing position. That remains an individual preference and experience, not a promise that a request secures a particular room. A view-led choice should also account for the route upstairs rather than being treated as a free improvement with no practical consequence.

Stairs and room age appear in specific guest accounts

An April 2026 family account reported no lift in the three-storey building they used and described the bathroom as dated. Another guest also mentioned using stairs to the third floor. Those reports make floor assignment relevant for travellers who need to minimise climbing, but they are not a full accessibility assessment of every building or entrance.

Room-condition feedback is mixed. The July family found their room clean despite its age; a June guest reported bedding and a patio-door lock problem in their own room. These accounts should not be collapsed into a claim that all rooms are dirty or all locks are faulty. They do support taking room condition seriously rather than assuming the pool setting tells the whole story.

The village setting can justify a shorter visit

Cabana is a practical candidate for a Phi Phi Don trip built around the central village and boat excursions. It avoids choosing an outlying beach solely for the hotel stay, while retaining substantial shared outdoor space. The official site describes Beach Terrace Restaurant, a pool-adjacent coffee shop and Jungle Beach Bar at Tonsai Bay, giving the property several public areas beyond its rooms.

The room-and-pool trade-off is therefore fairly clear. Travellers content with a traditional hotel bedroom may put more value on the setting and convenient island routine. Someone expecting a fresh luxury interior, a guaranteed lift or a private retreat would be comparing a different product. Cabana is worth reading as a central pool hotel with varied guest experiences, rather than as a perfect or universally poor choice based on one report.

The named dining spaces serve different parts of that routine. Beach Terrace Restaurant is described with Thai and international cooking and an Andaman outlook; Runtee Coffee Shop is beside the pool and has an air-conditioned interior. Jungle Beach Bar is an outdoor Tonsai waterfront venue. Those distinctions matter when someone wants an indoor meal after a hot pool day rather than treating every resort restaurant as the same open-air beach experience.
